Welcome to this page of the website which is all about me, Judy Robinson.

Altogether I have over 30 years’ practical experience in catering for large  numbers, both in a professional and voluntary capacity. For fifteen years I ran a large banqueting restaurant in south Lincolnshire, organising functions as varied as wedding receptions, club dinners and funeral teas.

After retiring from the restaurant I became a volunteer cook at a lunch club for elderly people. I also began organising dinners and other social events in aid of the local church. This often involves producing a meal for a large number of people without the use of a well equipped kitchen. I understand only too well how difficult this can be, and in the book I have drawn on my own experience and included lots of advice and suggestions to make the task easier.

As well as a cook, I am also an approved tutor in Food Safety for the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health, and for many years ran courses for groups of people up to intermediate level.
